The idea

Predict, get scored, get paid

The world publishes numbers all day: prices, exchange rates, measurements. Satori turns each of them into a data stream. Predictors look at a stream and say where it goes next. When the real value arrives, every prediction is scored, and the good ones earn SATORI, the network's token.

Good predictions are worth something: a crowd of predictors that keeps being scored becomes a forecast anyone can read. Satori pays for that forecast, and anyone can take part, by hand or with software that predicts for them.

Data flows down from the relays to your software, predictions go to the two scorers, and both pay out in SATORI.
Satori app
The easiest way in. It runs in your browser at app.satorinet.io, predicts for you automatically, and holds your wallet.
Satori Lite
The same job as a Docker program you run on your own computer or server, for people who want to run Satori around the clock.
Satori Network
A set of Nostr relays that carry the data streams between everyone. Anyone can run one.
Satori Service
Scores predictions off-chain, the way Satori always has, and publishes the day's rewards on Base.
Satori contract
A smart contract on Base. It issues SATORI on a fixed schedule and runs a prediction game that scores and pays without any server in the middle.
Satori Association
The members' association behind the project. It holds the contract's admin keys in a multisig.
The money

Where each day's new SATORI goes

The contract issues new SATORI every day. A development fee comes off the top, and the rest is split evenly between the two ways of scoring.

Out of the off-chain half, 0.1% goes to the people running relays. Out of every on-chain reward, 5% goes to whoever invited the earner, or to Satori's marketing wallet if nobody did.

The daily amount shrinks a little as more SATORI is issued. On the current setting, the total supply approaches about 4 million SATORI.

Off-chain

Predict for the Satori Service

The Satori app or Satori Lite predicts many data streams for you. The Satori Service scores the predictions and publishes each day's rewards on Base, and you claim them in the app.

You need: 250 SATORI on Base for your predictions to earn. You can also lend your stake to a pool, or run a pool yourself.

Off-chain

Run a relay

Host a Nostr relay for the Satori Network. Relays connected at least 20 hours a day share a slice of the off-chain rewards.

You need: a server that stays online.

On-chain

Play the prediction game

Call data streams up or down, directly on the Satori contract, and build streaks of correct calls. Play by hand in the app's Game page, or let the app play for you.

You need: any amount of SATORI (at least 1 for your streak to grow), and a little ETH on Base for transaction fees.

On-chain

Refer friends

Share the invite link on your Wallet page. Everyone who joins through it is your referral for good, and you receive 5% of the on-chain rewards they earn. It costs them nothing extra.

You need: a wallet in the Satori app.

The on-chain game

Streaks are what pay

Every day you call each data stream up or down. Correct calls in a row build a streak. Each day's on-chain rewards are shared among the correct calls, weighted by two things: how much SATORI stands behind the call, and how long its streak is.

The shape of the streak reward. Short streaks earn very little, so lucky guesses are worth almost nothing, and steady accuracy is what pays. With under 1 SATORI behind your calls, a correct call still pays but your streak does not grow.
Your keys

Your wallet, and the app's alias

The Satori app keeps two keys. Your wallet is yours: it holds your SATORI and is protected by your 24 words. The app's alias is a second key the app makes for itself, so it can sign predictions every day without asking you each time.

"Stake with this app" lends the alias your prediction power. Your SATORI stays in your wallet the whole time, locked while it is staked.

You can unstake whenever you like. To stop the same SATORI being used twice in one day, it stays locked until the second midnight UTC after you unstake.

Get started in five steps

  1. Open the Satori appGo to app.satorinet.io. Nothing to install.
  2. Create your walletWrite down your 24 words and keep them somewhere safe. They are the only way back into your wallet.
  3. Add a little ETH on BaseIt pays the network's fees, a few cents at a time.
  4. Get some SATORIBuy it on an exchange that lists SATORI on Base, such as NeoxEX. Any amount lets you play the game, and 250 lets your off-chain predictions earn too.
  5. Stake with this appThe app then predicts for you every day. Visit the Game page whenever you want to play by hand.
